Demonologist Review

Before start to talk about this game we want to say something about Demonologist. The developer of this game, Clock Wizard Games is an indie game development studio. They have 2 different games in the same category and we can see the improvement between the two games. The purpose on Demonologist is to find right ghost with follow evidence in the abandoned environment. While reading about it, it may seem easy, but once you start playing, you will realize that it’s going to be hard.

Graphics

Let’s talk about the graphics. This is an indie game but the graphics are looks real and you feel like you are really in this environment. All models and designs are looking well because they made this game with Unreal Engine 5. Especially, some jumpscare objects can give you a heart attack for a moment.

Gameplay

The gameplay style is similar to Phasmophobia. There are some quests, constantly changing evidence, and different useful tools find to the right ghost. When you play again everything going to change on the map and you have to look for different things. If you do same thing every single time, you can get easily bored and you lose a sense of fear after 2 or 3 tries. That’s why this system is a great thing for this game.

Sound

When you compare this game with another indie-developed horror game you notice the sounds are better than them. The footsteps, the door opening, and the tension sounds are in their proper place. We believe the sound is everything for a horror game and the developers are made a good job.
